On Tuesday 17th May the new MAS museum opens her doors. To welcome the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) a number of special events have been planned including an open-air concert on Saturday 14th May in the MAS square. ‘The Raft of the Medusa’ performed by Bl!ndman and Eric Sleichim together with an amazing fireworks display at 11pm.
The MAS is the newest museum in Antwerp. At its centre is a 60 meters high building with galleries, a watch depot, a vertical city gallery, panoramic views, a workshop, a two-star restaurant, a museum café (Café Storm), a museum square and four pavilions for special events and exhibitions.
Through the large windows you get a big wide view over the city and harbour. On the roof a 360° panoramic view is waiting for you! To celebrate the opening of this great new attraction the museums of Antwerp have collaborated to create a magnificent exhibition: “Masterpieces in the MAS. Five centuries of the image in Antwerp”.
Welcome to the MAS and discover the story of the century in the world of Antwerp!
